An overview of the Red Eye Conditions, both minor and serious
Red eye conditions span across a wide range of presentations, from more minor conditions which are a nuisance for patients to those serious cases which are vision and eye threatening.
This online tutorial will give a walk through some of the common less serious red eye conditions and how they can be managed before discussing the more serious cases. One of the themes of this tutorial will be how to differentiate between mild and serious cases in terms of the presenting signs and symptoms, highlighting possible red flags.
The majority of this tutorial will focus on the more serious conditions and how GPs can respond when these conditions present. Management may be in terms of considering the correct treatment or in terms of the best way to refer these cases into secondary care.
Opportunities for questions and discussion will also be available throughout this tutorial.
